It may be a new blog, but some things will stay the same. Among them? The fact I make this blog yet another way to find eyeballs for my twice-weekly American Idol column. But I don’t have to tell you that, dear blog reader. Most of you are here in the first place because of my brief write-ups from two seasons ago that blossomed into extended write-ups, and then a pop-culture website, and even a few on-air radio interviews.
Might I suggest spunkybean.com and my article. It’s that time of year when Idol returns and I go from a wandering, lost, confused person in this world to a hyper-focused, highly entertained, and sleep deprived super-fan. It’s also the time of year when you get an unsolicited, desperate email from me saying, “hey …click on my article. Read it if you’re so inclined. And if you aren’t really a ‘reader’ and you aren’t into American Idol, still …click the article.”
Don’t make me beg.
I’ll promise you this …I wrote at least THREE clever observations. And depending upon how sophisticated and educated you are, its possible you’ll observe a half-dozen additional clever things amidst my 2,000+ words.
I’ll be there bright and early every Wednesday and Thursday from now until …well …May. Most agree, reading spunkybean makes coffee taste better and studies show that, after reading my American Idol columns, productivity increases by as much as 40% in some cases. I don’t write them for myself …I write these recaps for you.
To your health. To Paula’s health. To American Idol!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
